Oct. 13, 2008
GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Coming off a 28-21 victory over Western Carolina, FCS 19th-ranked Furman returns to action this Saturday when it entertains arch-rival and 24th-ranked The Citadel at Paladin Stadium in the 88th renewal of the Southern Conference's longest running active rivalry. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
Members of the SoCon since 1936, Furman and The Citadel have clashed every year since 1919, with the lone exception being a three-year stretch (1943-45) when both programs suspended football due to World War II.
