Coach Kenny Payne was just let go by Louisville and wonder why that program is struggling so much given the rich history. I guess this was expected given their poor conference record and fear the same for other major programs that are struggling such as Mizzou.

I worry about the CU head coaching becoming available to CBR. Even tonight, CU is still not getting their act together and are about to lose to BC.

I think as long as Clemson makes the tourney, Brownell is safe for at least another year. Clemson seems to be a lock at this point.

Yet the tigers are down 15 to terrible Boston College team. I wouldn’t be shocked if they let BB go when they are upset in the tourney first round. Probably unprecedented, but also warranted.

Bottom line for me is still that I hope we can continue to keep CBR. As long as we can continue to keep CBR, I will feel good about Furman’s basketball future.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
