I liked how Alex played D last night too. And everybody else played D well too. That last defensive effort and technique on Woolbright at the end was a thing of beauty. Alex has shown he can do it. He made several mistakes on offense in the second half but never let it bother his D. And I'm sure Coach R noticed and is happy about that.
I think all past transgressions that have affected the team this year from anybody are now forgiven and forgotten, as they should be. The team looks focused and together.
Our previous tournament experience will be an advantage and as previously mentioned we have three players that didn't play too much last night that should be fresh. I am positive we'll see a lot of Williams and Whitt. And maybe Vanderwal, Hughey, and Bowser. It will be important to rest Pegues and Foster some to make sure they are 100% for the last 5 minutes.
Sammy knows we can beat them. We know we can beat them. And Sammy knows we know we can beat them. I like our chances.
