Yes he does prefer a short rotation in the past, but we have more depth these days..............youwouldno wrote: ↑Sat Aug 26, 2023 11:30 amCBR has been clear that he wants to maintain a 9 man rotation.
The depth has yet to be seen or proven. There are at keast 2 in your 8 man rotation list that may or may not be part of the rotation. Whitt has not played that much and has shown flashes but needs to cut down on turnovers andbe more consistent. Molnar has yet to play so hard to include him yet.Sad Din wrote: ↑Sat Aug 26, 2023 12:12 pmso who are the 9?youwouldno wrote: ↑Sat Aug 26, 2023 11:30 amCBR has been clear that he wants to maintain a 9 man rotation.
1 Foster
2 Hien
3 Pegues
4 Whit
5 Hughey
6 Vanderwall
7 Williams
8 Molnar
Thats leave 1 spot beween:
9. Smith (hes a lock)
? Bowser, Bronson, Carson , HUmphries
IMHO CBR will need to go to 10
Of course, he could still use a 9 man rotation but not use the same players every game. Go with whoever is from parctice. That would be a great motivator
Paul, in this day of the portal, any player can leave at anytime. As a fan, that is something we cannot control and shouldn’t worry about. Heck, even coaches can only do so much to keep a player from leaving. Therefore, fans should want to get the best players signed and hope they play well and lead us to the tournament. It’s one year at a time. We just have to enjoy the moment and not worry about next year.
tya1 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 27, 2023 8:49 pmHow does a player earn FOY recognition?
Put up good stats, which requires significant early playing time.
Early playing time usually requires either an extra special talent or a hole in the lineup that is available.
SoCon teams rarely get any 4 star or 5 star type talents, so usually FOY players come from teams with weaknesses in their returning talent.
FOY winners are almost always from teams with losing records. In recent history only 2 FOY played for teams over .500 in the conference - both of those teams were barely over .500.
Four of the last eight FOYs played for either VMI or the Citadel.
Place your bets accordingly.
